Vietnam - Support project for medical examination and treatment during the year for 120 patients

Dear Fr. Tran Kim Thoi, representative of Missionaries of the Sacred Heart in Vietnam

Lang Son Handicapped Society consists of 120 Catholic and non-Catholic members coming from 15 parishes. They are crippled, dumb, deaf, blind, down, mentally-retarded, etc. They are very poor, and they cannot afford for medical checkup and medicines. Thanks to MSC, we are able to send them to Thien Phuoc Clinic for treatment. We also help them earn their livings by selling lottery tickets everyday, and pay their bills and rentals.

We also take care of the HIV victims in their last stage. They do not have any refuge, they are abandoned by their families and others. We look after them until they die, then hold their funerals and cremation. Our parish has 35 cremation urns so far.

The MSC brothers usually come sharing with them every Tuesday. They visit and share joys and sorrows with the handicapped in some other occasions as well. We appreciate what the brothers have been doing unto the unfortunate.

Please continue supporting the Handicapped Society and the HIV patients. They are really in need of your help.

May the Lord bless you and your kind work!
