Nauru - School Upgrade

We recently signed contracts with Force10 constructions to provide new facilities to Kayser College school in Nauru.

This is the culmination of long term discussion, planning and fundraising with the Kayser College in Nauru, the local Parish, and the Bishop.

The local community in Nauru have raised a significant sum themselves toward this project while the MSC Mission Office will ensure funds for completion.

It will take 6 weeks to make the buildings at the factory in Brisbane, then they have to ship them to Nauru. After arrival they will take at least 6 weeks to construct.

Greta Harris writes from Nauru: "This is certainly wonderful news! They are all very impressed with the work you are unfolding at your end. We have identified the local construction company to clear the site for the new building, and have requested a quotation from them for this work and thus will be able to estimate how much money we will need to retain for the work to be done locally."

The new cluster will provide three new classrooms, a staff room with toilets and kitchenette, and offices for the school Principal and Secretary.

In total it is estimated that the project will cost around $350,000.
