We are pleased to be able to support the Baabayn Aboriginal Corporation at Mount Druitt, and particularly enjoyed this water poem that appeared in their latest newsletter.
Water Helps those in Need
thing is water.
It helps people in need.
When I talk to the water the water
replies. So I asked the water to help those in
need. It said “I will try to do my best and help the ones
in need.’ The water then said “But would you help me with the
helping those in need of water. “OK I will try as well” I found an empty
vessel, filled it up and went to give it to my friend who is poor and needs water.
He thanked me. I tried to do it for everyone. I failed. I could only help a few families in 1 day.
Water said “I’m running out of water to provide for the ones in need.
Everyone is dying. I went to the next town to get water for the ones in need.
When I arrived there was plenty. I got some water, but as I was leaving
there everyone was poor and in need. So I left them some water.
Then I went home and poured the water
for everyone. Everyone was happy.
